The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, commonly referred to as Breaking Dawn, is a 2011/2012 two-part romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and based on the novel Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. The two parts form the fourth and final installment in the The Twilight Saga series. All three main cast members, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprise their roles.

Part 1, rated PG-13, was released on November 18, 2011, and Part 2 will be released on November 16, 2012. In totals as of November 21st, the movie has grossed $291,022,261 worldwide.
Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt served as executive producers for the film, along with the author of the series, Stephenie Meyer; the screenplay was written by Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter of the first three entries.
Part 1
When Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) receives an invitation to Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) wedding, he becomes upset and runs away in his wolf form, despite his father Billy Black (Gil Birmingham) calling after him. Meanwhile, Charlie Swan (Billy Burke) and Renée Dwyer (Sarah Clarke) read their invitation and unlike Renee, Charlie does not seem very happy about the wedding.
The Cullen family, Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene), Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli), Esme Cullen (Elizabeth Reaser), Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz), Rosalie Hale (Nikki Reed) and Jasper Hale (Jackson Rathbone) are busy in preparation of the wedding. That night, Edward visits Bella to try to make her understand the consequences of becoming a vampire, hoping to change her mind, but Bella stays firm on her decision. Emmett and Jasper, who are taking Edward out to his bachelor party, interrupt them. The same night, Bella has a dream she is walking down the isle with all her friends and family in attendance. She sees the Volturi’s and when she turns to Edward, he gives her an evil look and she notices that they are both covered in blood. She turns around and sees the dead bodies of her family and friends, piled on top of each other. This causes her to stay sleepless the rest of the night, which is indicated by Alice the following morning as she is putting on Bella’s makeup for the wedding.
As Alice and Rosalie prepare Bella to walk down the aisle, Renee and Charlie present Bella with a hair clip that was passed down to her by Charlie's mother. Renee tells Bella that one-day, she too would pass it down to her own daughter. This saddens Bella because she knows that she can never have children with Edward. At the wedding reception, Bella is introduced to the Denali Clan. One of the members, Irina (Maggie Grace) is upset because she sees Seth Clearwater (Booboo Stewart), one of the members of the Quileute wolves that killed her mate, Laurent. Edward tries to explain that they only did it because he was going to kill Bella, but she refuses to listen or believe him. Later, on the dance floor, Edward tells Bella that another one of her wedding presents has arrived and he takes her to the back, where she is pleasantly surprised to see Jacob. Jacob tries to say goodbye since he knows that soon she will become a vampire. When Bella accidentally indicates that she plans to consummate with Edward on their honeymoon, Jacob becomes infuriated. As he launches forward to attack Edward, members of his pack hold him back. He then runs off into the woods, and Edward takes an upset Bella back to the reception.
The couple spends their honeymoon on a private island in Brazil called Isle Esme, a gift from Carlisle to Esme. Although hesitant, Edward has sex with Bella for the first time. Due to his passionate lovemaking, Edward inadvertently hurts Bella. Horrified by what he has done, against Bella's wishes, he tells Bella they will not have sex again while she is human. The newlyweds spend their honeymoon exploring the island. One night, Bella wakes up crying from a dream where she sees herself and Edward making love. Bella persuades Edward to make love to her again and he finally gives in. The following day, while Edward is out hunting, Bella gets sick while eating some chicken that she prepared. She quickly runs to the bathroom and when Edward returns, she tells him that the chicken must have been old. She asks him to bring her bag, which contains all her bathroom necessity and turns white when she realizes that she is late. As she is walking past the mirror, she stops. Upon examining herself, Bella realizes that she's pregnant, and is rushed back to Forks, Washington by Edward, hoping that Carlisle can remove the fetus believing it is nothing but a monster. Developing motherly feelings towards it, Bella refuses to have an abortion. Knowing that Rosalie has always wanted a child, she enlists Rosalie's help to protect her and her unborn baby.
Jacob learns of Bella's return and rushes to the Cullen's house demanding to see her. Pushing his way in the house, he sees a very sickly thin Bella sitting on the couch. He asks what is wrong with her, but instead of telling him, she stands up to show him her pregnancy. Bella is looked to be about 8 months pregnant. He is furious. Concerned for her health and safety, Jacob starts screaming at Edward and asks why Carlisle has not removed the fetus. Bella states that it is her decision to keep the baby.
Learning of Bella's pregnancy, Sam Uley (Chaske Spencer), Alpha of the werewolf pack, plans to kill Bella and destroy her unborn baby, believing it to a monster. Jacob stands against him telling him that he is the true Alpha and vows to protect Bella. He leaves Sam's pack and is soon joined by Seth and Leah Clearwater (Julia Jones). The three of them guard the house. As Bella is growing skinnier and getting worse, Carlisle tells her that she will not make it if she continues with the pregnancy. Bella accepts the consequences, refusing to any other alternatives. Bella apologizes to Edward telling him that he will always have a part of her with him, but in an angry rage, he tells her this is not what he wants and she has given him no choice and storms out.
After reading a sly remark from Jacob's mind, Edward suggests to Carlisle that they give Bella blood. To her surprise, after drinking it, she enjoys the taste and wants more. Carlisle tells her that her pulse, just from a small drink has gotten stronger and everyone is relieved and is hopeful. Edward discovers he can hear the baby's thoughts and his feelings for the baby change knowing that it is not a monster. That evening, Bella, with Alice and Rosalie, tells both Jacob and Edward the names she has chosen for her unborn baby. Shortly after, Bella goes into labor and her spine breaks. Since Carlisle is hunting, Rosalie, Edward, Jacob and Alice are forced to deliver the baby. When Rosalie cuts open Bella's stomach, the sight and smell of the blood is too much and before she can act, Jacob launches forward to stop her and Alice takes her out of the room. Edward is forced to open Bella's abdomen with his vampire teeth to deliver the baby. Once removed, he immediately calls her Renesmee, confirming that it is a girl. When Bella's condition deteriorates, Jacob and Edward try to revive her. After some failed attempts, Edward injects Bella's heart with his venom hoping it isn't too late. Nothing happens. Bella remains in her state and is thought to be dead. Jacob, angry and distraught by what has transpired, storms out. Without thinking, he goes back into the house, planning to kill the baby since it killed Bella. When he approaches the room where he sees Rosalie holding Renesmee, he pauses, recalling what he told Bella about how a wolf feels when they imprint and he drops to his knees, revealing he has imprinted on Renesmee.
Paul (Alex Meraz) learns about Bella's death and informs Sam. When the werewolves attack, Jacob stops the battle saying that if they kill her, they kill him. Sam, in his wolf form, not fully understanding, attacks Jacob, which causes him to change into a wolf. Edward reads Jacob's mind. Edward tells everyone that Jacob has imprinted and a werewolf's code dictates that once a wolf imprints, that person cannot be harmed. This is their absolute law. Knowing that they can not inflict harm on Renesemee, Sam and his pack retreat back into the woods.
Alice, Carlisle, Edward and Esme are back in the room with Bella. They are combing her hair, washing her and have dressed her. Edward is concerned that his venom did not work, but Carlisle has assured him that it has. Everyone leaves the room. Bella's transformation into a vampire is shown as her wounds start to heal themselves and her spine is straightened and her face is no longer dark with hallows. It turns pale, as her lips turn bright red and her hair turns a rich bronze. The final scene shows Bella opening her eyes to reveal they are blood-red, that of a newborn vampire's eyes.
In a post-credits scene, it is revealed that the Volturi vampire clan, led by Aro (Michael Sheen), has been informed of Bella and Edward's wedding, and Bella's transformation into a vampire. Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) states that they have no further business with the Cullens. However, Aro disagrees saying the Cullens still have something he wants.
